Does anyone know where I could find details on going to Graceland and possibly seeing a rodeo out there too?
Anne R asked the question:
Has anyone been to Graceland? I’ve never been there, but recently found out that my 29-year-old brother has colon cancer and I would love to treat him to something special before he starts chemo in six weeks. We live 12 hours from each other so I’m trying to figure out the best/cheapest way for me to get him here (to Chattanooga from NYS) and would like to find out more information about Graceland…whether we should fly to Memphis from Chatt or drive? Is the tour worth the money? Anyone know if there are any rodeos nearby? I have a feeling it’ll cost a fortune and I intend to shop around, but just wondering if I could get some insight from anyone that’s already done the research, been there, and done other things while you were there. Any suggestions for other things to do anywhere between Memphis and Chattanooga that would keep a country boy entertained would be helpful! Anyone know of a farm with lots of mules? Ha ha… anything country and out of the ordinary would be great

GRACELAND IS A GREAT PLACE TO GO. I’M SURE YOUR BROTHER WILL LOVE IT. MAKE SURE YOU GET TO SEE THE PLANES THERE ALSO. NOT SURE ABOUT TRAVEL FOR YOU I LIVE NOT TO FAR FROM THERE IT ONLY TAKES ABOUT 45 MIN FROM MY HOUSE BUT IT’S WORTH THE MONEY IF YOU LIKE ELVIS ONE THING YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THE HOUSE IS THE SAME FROM THE 70′S NOT SURE WHAT THEY WHERE THINKING BACK THEN BUT IT’S COOL. THERE IS TONS OF STUFF TO DO IN MEMPHIS THEY ALSO HAVE HORSE AND BUGY RIDES IN DOWN TOWN YOU CAN’T GET MORE COUNTRY THAN LOOKIN AT A HORSES BUTT FOR 30 MIN
While in Memphis, visit Mud Island, the Pink Palace, Beale Street and of course, Graceland. Memphis also has many world class Bar-B-Que places that you will love. If you are into music, visit the Sun Recording studio where, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Elvis cut some records
