Free range chicken eggs ?

Pink asked the question:

I do not currently eat eggs since I cannot find a farm in my area that properly cares for their chickens (I refuse to fund animal abuse) I do not own my chickens anymore and cannot at the moment due to space. Is there some way to find a farm in my area? A searching tool of sorts? I would also like to see the chickens as well and their regular care. I live in VT so there is no shortage of farms, many of them are not selling their eggs or offering any kind of “tour” for me to see the chickens. Thanks so much in advance!

Take a drive around until you find a farm that sells fresh eggs. Or ask one of the farmers in your area. Check with a store and ask who supplies their eggs and then check that place out….

It’s not profitable enough to have chickens or hens in a free range environment. Some people do it more as a hobby than a business. If you are prepared to just earn a little out of it, then that’s fine, but there are a lot of consumers out there demanding cheap produce. The only way you can feed them is through intensive farming methods. I respect your views on the subject. Where I live in Spain there are a number of places I can get free range eggs as I live in a rural area, but whether the animals are treated better is another thing.

    California here
this is nonsense,, put an add in your local newspaper
    someone may rent you space
I fail to see or understand how anyone can abuse a chicken
just remember free range chickens eat all kinds of dirt and dead animals and will feed on other dung even their chicks
Sorry but I will buy the commercial eggs laid in the controlled environment with formulated feed and daily veterinary care
